The GOLD MONSTER 2000 is designed for small natural gold in mineralized soil and around hot rocks. Minelab combines Multi‑Au simultaneous multi-frequency technology, Echo Wave audio and automatic ground tracking to give new prospectors a clear operating experience while retaining the sensitivity experienced nugget hunters need.
The detector operates across 12–75 kHz simultaneously, helping it respond to fine gold while remaining stable as ground conditions change. Auto Noise Cancel also reduces electromagnetic interference during startup.
Echo Wave combines detection audio with discrimination cues. A higher tone generally indicates a possible non-ferrous target, while a lower tone helps identify hot rocks or iron. The Gold Chance Indicator and 0–99 target ID provide additional information for interpreting each response.
At approximately 1.25 kg, the detector uses a telescopic carbon-fiber and fiberglass shaft. The IP55 control unit is rain resistant, while the IP68 coil can be submerged to 1 meter. Each component should be used within its stated water-resistance limit.
It is suited to fine natural gold in mineralized ground, hot-rock areas, old mining waste and previously worked patches. Actual sensitivity and depth vary with gold size and shape, soil mineralization and sweep technique.
It is a practical choice for a beginner who wants automatic ground handling and for an experienced prospector focused on small nuggets who needs a light detector for long walks and confined rocky areas.
Grand Detectors supplies the original detector with guidance on sensitivity, ground balance and target indicators. After-sales technical support and advice on optional coil selection are also available.
Yes. Its primary purpose is detecting small natural gold rather than large deeply buried treasure.
Easy‑Trak tracks the ground automatically, while Quick‑Trak provides a fast adjustment when conditions change.
The coil is waterproof to 1 meter. The control unit is rain resistant and should not be submerged.

Multi-Au combines the fine-gold sensitivity of VLF detection with a Pulse Induction ground-handling engine for stable performance in mineralized soil.
Combines highly sensitive detection audio with discrimination tones: high tones indicate gold, while low tones identify iron or hot rocks.
Easy-Trak continuously adjusts ground balance during detecting, while Quick-Trak provides rapid ground balancing whenever required.
Combines the Gold Chance Indicator, 0–99 Target ID, and 25 discrimination segments to help separate gold from ferrous trash.
Scans for electromagnetic interference during startup and adjusts operating frequencies to reduce noise and provide more stable signals.
Provides a powerful response to small gold nuggets and difficult targets while maintaining signal clarity and reducing mineralized-ground noise.
Automatically adjusts sensitivity and ground balance in real time, allowing users to focus on finding gold without complex adjustments.
Offers Normal, Benign, and Difficult search modes to adapt performance to standard, mild, and highly mineralized ground.
Weighs only 1.25 kg and collapses to 65 cm, making it easy to transport and comfortable during extended detecting sessions.
Features an IP55-rated rainproof control pod and a waterproof search coil that can be submerged to a depth of one meter.
